I appreciate the idea of starting a post for the site, but I dont want to necessarily come on here and advertise it unwarrantedly. I'm mostly here to just talk comics and the like, and if it comes up it comes up. I might make a post for it when there's a new update though because I think people would be interested in that

As for the reader/public lists, that's actually a big problem I've been having with these lists. Because sequential art isn't always held up to the highest degree in the literary or art world and a lot of resources dedicated to it come from more pop cultured backgrounds than academic backgrounds, I've had to make some compromises, otherwise I'd have like 6 usable lists haha

That's why I made the distinction between Dirty Dave's blog and the Japanese Tourism Department list, just because there's so few of the latter. I weight the lists on a few things, like how large the scope is, how reliable the source is, if it's all time or only covers a specific period

The manga list will probably be ready early next year, and while it's not perfect (these sort of lists rarely are), I think it's a solid foundation of influential manga so far. But as always, once the list is out and people have thoughts/comments/feedback I'm always open to criticism to better the project. This whole manga ranking was due to feedback saying that the original list focused too much on western comics and I should do something to remedy that

i think that if you invest a lot of time you can be able to find a lot of stuff but that needs specific knowledge
