Here's some playlists from BBC Music - since some of these are from sub-stations specifically devoted to genres, I think they're still probably eligible.
BBC Music: Class of '96
http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/playlists/zzznn8
1) One to Another - The Charlatans
2) Roll With It - Oasis
3) Country House - Blur
4) Firestarter - The Prodigy
5) Born Slippy - Underworld
6) Waking Up - Elastica
7) Common People - Pulp
8) Don't Look Back in Anger - Oasis
9) Beautiful Ones - Suede
10) The Box - Orbital
11) This is Hardcore - Pulp

18) The Universal - Blur
19) Tonight, Tonight - The Smashing Pumpkins
20) Perfect Day - Lou Reed
21) The Universal - Blur (again)
22) A Design for Life - Manic Street Preachers
Note: I'm pretty sure only two or three songs are actually from 1996, but most of them probably charted in '96 (I know "Lust for Life" was on the Traisnpotting soundtrack - which came out in '96 - and "Perfect Day" was rerecorded as a charity single in '96).

Re: BBC Music lists
Not eligible, as I don't usually include playlists (there are playlists everywhere these days!). I just made an exception for BBC Radio 6 Music’s Alternative Jukebox, because that was released in a book.

Re: BBC Music lists
The only one I'd ask you to reconsider is the "My Favorite Track" list - or maybe I'll just move that one to the "acclaimed artists' favorite songs/albums" thread.Henrik wrote:Not eligible, as I don't usually include playlists (there are playlists everywhere these days!). Re: BBC Music lists
I understand the playlists are not eligible but "BBC Music Jazz: 50 Greatest Jazz Albums" should be considered.
