I have a 2007 book called “The Little Black Book of Music” by Sean Egan. It's a chronological list of key albums, key songs, key events, key performances, etc. from the last century.

https://books.google.com.au/books/about ... edir_esc=y

I've copied the key albums and key songs here. Some of the songs (particularly the songs before the 50s) don't list an artist in the title, but mention some notable recordings of the songs in the descriptions. When this happens I've listed these artists mentioned in the description in square brackets [ ] with a slash separating different recordings. If no artist is mentioned in the title or the description I just listed the song title by itself.

Thanks M24 and welcome to the forum!

I will include this lists, but it won't get a high weight, as it seems the book's aim is not to list the best music of all time.

"This is an overview of each moment's impact on modern music, on popular culture, and on rock evolution".
