Spin has always been pretty early. Rolling Stone on the other hand ...

Spin and RS (and other physical mags) are always early. Technically, their "December" issues are out in November or early December, so they are kinda forced to make their lists earlier than web-only sources such as Pitchfork and No Ripcord.
