Sort of. It is more one of those lists of songs that define the period, or more correctly define NME throughout the years. It reads like LCD Soundsystem's Losing My Edge, but only the parts where they name-drop an artist/ song and say "I was there!". Seems only fair that song made the list.
It is a very England focused list, as the magazine really likes to highlight how they were part of each new British scene.
