This doesn't really add into anything since they aren't honoring the songs as much as the videos.

So thrilled to see "The Perfect Kiss" in the top 5. It's my favorite video of all-time and I think I was the only one to vote for it in our music video poll (which surprised me). Glad to see it isn't just me who thinks this is great.

I try my hardest not to be one of those "NO X????????" whenever a list appears butttttttttttt

No 1979, Thriller, or Karma Police?

Whack.

Rest of the list is alright.

I was so excited to see "The Perfect Kiss" that I totally missed the glaring omission of "Thriller." Ouch.

I like the list but i got a problem with the positions. "Formation" is a great video but I don't think many people consider the best of alltime.

Wow, Thriller topped the list last time (in 1993). In our music video poll, I remember we didn't even have a video from 1982 that got more than one vote. From 1983 onward, we did though -- '83 was the year that the Billie Jean and Thriller (and Beat It) videos came out. It was like everyone stepped up their game after that.

Madonna has four entries, though interesting that neither "Like a Prayer" or "Express Yourself" made the list, given that they usually do pretty well on these lists. "Prayer" was No. 1 on Spin's recent Best Videos list.

From the recent music videos, I was hoping Rolling Stone would include "Cellophane" by FKA twigs which was gorgeous.

Just out of curiosity, what does the music video contribute too? Does it help the song earn points if the song's music video was chosen in this list?

P.S. I've seen better videos from Aphex Twins' "Windowlicker", Sophie Ellis Bextor's "Murder On The Dancefloor", Madonna's "Bad Girl", Portishead's "The Rip" and Pussycat Dolls' "React" - entertaining videos that has a small movie plot, doesn't look gimmicky or cocky and does more than miming in an expensive looking video.

"Cellophane" was one of the most gorgeous and sexiest video I haven't seen in years. I agree it should have been included. It looked groundbreaking and futuristic. Yes, Bjork is onto making revolutionary video like how "Cellophane" came across but "Cellophane" had FKA Twigs pole dancing in a trained acrobatic manner to make it further inspiring.
