Do-Re-Mi is a 5. I watched The Sound of Music after I took an edible once and it was pretty awesome.

Let’s go abroad again, this time to Argentina. This is not just a song that acr0320 likes, but actually an Argentinian classic, that ranks as #8 of the country on AM, as well as #3788 overall. It’s parent album is also the most sold Argentinian album, so we should take note.
Wait, did I just write “Let’s go abroad”? Considering there are barely any Dutch songs in the game, we go abroad from my perspective all of the time. Why do I think that “going abroad” means going outside of an English language? What is this site doing to my brain?

231. Fito Páez - El amor después del amor
Year: 1992
Album: El amor después del amor
Biggest Fan: acr0320 (#873)

For a major national song this is surprisingly... just fine. Maybe you had to be there. I might have liked it more if Páez didn't over-emote so much.

Cetamol’s rather broad palette of song types that appear here from his list gets expanded further by a classic of jazz fusion. The critics approve, as you can find the long track ranked at #6367 on Acclaimed Music.

Whuntva is getting dangerous again by presenting us with an actual hit, albeit a minor one. None of the involved artists ring a bell with me, so let’s check out if I have been missing out.

No Todd Rundgren for Henry this time around. Instead, a final effort of a band in stages of breaking up.

207. Cibo Matto – Sugar Water: 6
208. tUnE-yArDs – Es-so: 5

This one was me, love the uplifting mellow vibe.
210. The Beatles – I’m Down: 6
211. Steeleye Span – All Things Are Quite Silent: 5
212. Shakin’ Stevens – Because I Love You: 5
213. Rod Stewart – Forever Young: 5

228. Will Oldham – O Let It Be: 6
229. Brian McFadden – Irish Son: 4
230. Mary Martin – Do-Re-Mi: 6
Difficult to rate as it's a classic song which can get annoying, but I like this more than the Julie Andrews version from the movie, it comes across more full of joy and less cloying.
231. Fito Páez - El amor después del amor: 3
232. Chick Corea – Return to Forever: 9
I love it when this game throws up a song like this, hugely influential track by an artist that I should have explored. Nice pick!

Today’s song ranks quite high on AM, at #2410. It was a very minor hit in the UK only, so perhaps Flibie is right and we should pay attention again.

Enjoyable song on their debut. Though its ranking on the main site as their 3rd-best song ever is awfully high.

Buffalo Springfield – On the Way Home: 6
A fine song from a band that has just done better.

Pretenders - Kid: 7
I seem to enjoy this band more as time goes on. I wouldn't call this a particular highlight, but it still finds them in fine form.

235. Pretenders - Kid (1979) 9/10 but, wait, this Cmaj7 chord at 0:26, the vibrato on Chrissie Hynde voice, the lyrics "about a prostitute whose son finds out what she does for a living," the rock bridge at 1:17, the proto-jangle-pop guitar solo at 1:30...

Sorry, let's begin again...
235. Pretenders - Kid (1979) 10/10
(only the second one for a song not nominated by me after Frank Ocean's "Sweet Life").

Now funk metal isn’t a genre we get here often, or at all. Luckily, the all-hearing ears of fasbjd were paying attention. The song is bubblin’ under on AM.

Primus – Jerry Was a Race Car Driver: 8
I haven't played Tony Hawk, so there is no nostalgia for me here. In fact, I only knew Primus as the band that did the South Park Theme. For some reason I didn't think this would also be somewhat South Park-like, but it does fit a little. Although this song is faster and even wackier. It really stands out somehow.

Primus – Jerry Was a Race Car Driver

My favorite Primus memory is bringing the Sailing the Seas of Cheese CD over to a household that probably did not regularly listen to Primus, and one of the kids mimed air guitar a little for every song (even if as kind of a joke).
