I hate myself. I keep making a big deal out of saying, "This is it, this is the last one," but I was just in Barnes and Noble, found this, and...sigh. Can't resist. For real this time, since I found this one by accident and am not going to actively seek out more lists. Same rules as the '70s list. Again, I'm really sorry if this makes things harder for Henrik and the update's pushed even more.

Funny how with the main list the idea is to go for the "second-best" album (For Those About to Rock... instead of Back in Black, If I Should Fall from Grace with God instead of Rum, Sodomy, and the Lash, Ride the Lightning instead of Master of Puppets, etc.), but some albums could easily be called the most famous '80s album of their respective artists (Murmur, Doolittle, Psychocandy, Remain in Light), and some artists apparently don't even have a second-best album to earn a spot.
This has nothing to do with the list, but if I had to pick second-best '80s albums from artists who were neglected here, I'd say (with reference to the "best" album):
- The Smiths - Hatful of Hollow (vs. The Queen is Dead)
- Michael Jackson - Bad (vs. Thriller)
- Madonna - Madonna (vs. Like a Prayer)
- Public Enemy - Yo! Bum Rush the Show (vs. Nation of Millions)
- Run-DMC - King of Rock (vs. Raising Hell)
- Prince - Sign O' the Times or Dirty Mind (vs. Purple Rain, though you could probably also say Sign O' the Times)
- Midnight Oil - 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 (vs. Diesel and Dust)
