There is No More Firmament.
Re: EOY 2018 - Time (US)
How did that 1975 record get on this list half a month before it comes out?

They'll have had an advance review copy probably.

Re: EOY 2018 - Time (US)
This list has some real duds, but I actually think it includes a lot of great albums that other lists haven't: Golden Hour should be a top 10 album of the year, but other lists aren't including it in the top 10 because it's country; Bloom is probably the best pop album I've heard since Melodrama, yet it's largely been ignored by other publications; Honey and Dirty Computer may be the two most universally praised albums of the year, yet Honey hasn't done very well so far.discord wrote:Not a pleasant list.
And based on its early reviews, the 1975's album might just end up giving those two a run for the money.
This is the kind of list that people expect from Time Magazine, but I actually think it has some pretty good highs. With that said, you'll never hear me call a Cardi B album the album of the year.

I find Golden Hour average.

I am so thankful that this dreadful list isn't eligible.

I think country should be in quotation marks. Golden Hour is no more country than Arcade Fire or Metallica.Future Critic wrote: Golden Hour should be a top 10 album of the year, but other lists aren't including it in the top 10 because it's country;

Counterpoint: Uh, no. It's definitely pop-y. But it's clearly also country.prosecutorgodot wrote:I think country should be in quotation marks.
