AMF WC Classics Edition 12

Post by spiritualized »

Welcome to instalment n°12 of the Classics Chart, where YOU get to nominate and vote for the best songs ever in a tournament to the death !

:scared-shocked: 121 votes last week
:scared-shocked: Janelle Monae's Cold War goes to number one
:scared-shocked: 4 new entries from Janelle Monae / Lana Del Rey / Joe Jackson / The Beatles
:text-bump: Pretenders & Chico Buarque are OUT !
:text-bump: Nina Simone's Feeling Good makes it to the Hall of Fame

Please note that 2 nominations could not make it due to a 3-way tie at the bottom of the chart.

Urusei Yatsura :
The album / song is so obscure that I can't even find a video on YT for the song, just the album.
The link will start at the right song.

(Also, the version of Umbada I'd recommend is the version from the Festival da Cancao, but the version you included is fine as well)

Since this website is the reason I found this singer - I figure that's as good a reason to nominate for this game.

Yeah, it’s silly, but I enjoy it. Not everybody sees it as just a joke.

Hey Spiritualized, I like the AM rank that you added. Just one more step in the process for you that adds time, (I'm sure), but it's really cool to ponder the worldwide critics' collective placements against tracks that didn't place as high, (or not at all), and wonder why. Nice job!

A pleasure to see you approve :) I always try to improve things to keep them fresh and interesting. This change seemed pertinent.
