I was close to nominate Nina Simone's version (bubbler). It would be cool if someone does.
I'm surprised it's only bubbling...it's a pretty good song. Then again, most of her songs are underrated on the site.

Just a minor thing for when you set up the bracket - it's Breathe Me

Nice choice Henrik! Great song. A few years ago I worked for a company that does music for TV, and we were trying to think of any song that matched its style and mood, but we couldn't come up with anything particularly close. It's very unique. Can anyone else think of a good comparison?

Thanks andyd1010 for the Sia correction.

There’s always someone who makes a positive comment on my choices! Seems like they could do really well in this game. But maybe you are just being extra nice to me after the site update... :D

Already pushed The Past is a Grotesque Animal to the 2nd round of the 00s poll, and don't want to depress everyone with "No Children" so my pick for the 3001-4000 section is :
Mötorhead - Overkill (3730) (could have gone to AC/DC - Let There Be Rock as easily)

Then I go for:

Sleater-Kinney - One Beat (Bubblin')
That was in the last tournament, songs from there are also ineligible.
It seems I was having an off day yesterday. Since the bubbling place is still free as far as I can tell I go with something else entirely:

Monty Python - Always Look on the Bright Side of Life (Bubblin')

I was going to do a song in the 4001-5000 range since it's filling up, but none of my top 300 songs are in there, while I have a top-100 song in all the other sections, so I'll go with this instead:

The Mamas & the Papas - Dream a Little Dream of Me (5338)

I'm going to modify one of the rules now: if you have already nominated a song in every open division, you can then nominate a second song in a division. Otherwise, people who missed out on some of the closed sections could end up getting less chances to nominate. This likely won't go into effect until the last day or so.

I'm going to nominate:
Majical Cloudz - Childhood's End (7590)

1001-2000 (4 spots remain):
Neil: Neil Young - Cowgirl in the Sand (1068)
Nassim: Pulp - This is Hardcore (1071)

I'm torn on what to nominate next, because there are a lot of songs I love in the 1000-2000 range, but do they really need more exposure (Dylan's "Tambourine Man", "All Tomorrow's Parties" and "Nightswimming", for example, but I've considered like 15 different songs at this point)?

So I decided to go with Stealer's Wheel "Stuck in the Middle With You" (#1688). It isn't by a forum favorite or on a well-acclaimed album, so while it is definitely well known, I think it's a better choice in that division than some other songs I was considering.

One song from that range I really wish got more attention is Yes by McAlmont and Butler - fantastic, lush Britpop.
