1. The Jam - Sound Affects vs. The Beatles - Help!
2. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - No More Shall We Part vs. Lana Del Rey - Born to Die
3. Dead Can Dance - Spleen and Ideal vs. Saint Etienne - So Tough
So, the two albums I've been struggling to love face each other. I found that the (few) lyrics of "Spleen and Ideal" really clicked with me, and that entry point reoriented me to like the album more.
4. Fishmans - Long Season vs. Astor Piazzolla - Libertango

Lana Del Rey - Born to Die
Saint Etienne - So Tough

Favorite album I couldn't vote for: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - No More Shall We Part (Might've been my most difficult decision of the entire tournament.)

One-line (silly) comments...

2. The Jam - Sound Affects (1980) vs. 3. The Beatles - Help! (1965)
A police car and a screaming siren / The Beatles winning a moderately acclaimed game / That's entertainment. Help!

5. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - No More Shall We Part (2001) vs. 6. Lana Del Rey - Born to Die (2012)
How I miss Angelo Badalamenti here... Autumnal sadness and summertime sadness. As Nick sat sadly by Lana's side.

8. Dead Can Dance - Spleen and Ideal (1985) vs. 4. Saint Etienne - So Tough (1993)
How I miss Ennio Morricone here... Two outstanding singers, Lisa solemn and distant and Sarah sweet and near. So tough.

7. Fishmans - Long Season (1996) vs. 1. Astor Piazzolla - Libertango (1974)
Last non-English acts. Far East, Far South. Hypnotic electronic soundscapes and passionate organic sounds. Do the Tango!
