Consequence of Sound - Top 50 Albums of 1987 (2017)

I have exactly five (count 'em, five) lists left*. Thought I'd get them out of the way before Henrik signs off on them on Wednesday. This year is definitely one where I'm looking forward to the songs list even more, but for now, here's the best albums of 1987 (aka The Joshua Tree, Appetite for Destruction, and the other ones).
* This one, a ranking of every UK Eurovision entry (though that one may be single-critic, so maybe not), a ranking of every Metallica song by Laut, Loudwire's 50 Game-Changing Hard Rock + Metal Albums, and a best Canadian songs list.

50. EURYTHMICS – SAVAGE
49. CLOSE LOBSTERS – FOXHEADS STALK THIS LAND
48. THE MELVINS – GLUEY PORCH TREATMENTS
47. THE WEDDING PRESENT – GEORGE BEST
46. DESCENDENTS – ALL
45. ICE-T – RHYME PAYS
44. BUTTHOLE SURFERS – LOCUST ABORTION TECHNICIAN
43. WARREN ZEVON – SENTIMENTAL HYGIENE
42. THE CULT – ELECTRIC
41. MIRACLE LEGION – SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE
40. MEAT PUPPETS – HUEVOS
39. THE DUKES OF STRATOSPHEAR – PSONIC PSUNSPOT
38. LOVE AND ROCKETS – EARTH, SUN, MOON
37. LYLE LOVETT – PONTIAC
36. GEORGE HARRISON – CLOUD NINE
35. KOOL MOE DEE – HOW YA LIKE ME NOW
34. TERENCE TRENT D’ARBY – INTRODUCING THE HARDLINE ACCORDING TO TERENCE TRENT D’ARBY
33. JOHN HIATT – BRING THE FAMILY
32. INXS – KICK
31. STING – …NOTHING LIKE THE SUN
30. THE HOUSEMARTINS – THE PEOPLE WHO GRINNED THEMSELVES TO DEATH
29. PIXIES - COME ON PILGRIM
28. SUZANNE VEGA – SOLITUDE STANDING
27. TOM WAITS – FRANKS WILD YEARS
26. BIG BLACK – SONGS ABOUT FUCKING
25. JOHN COUGAR MELLENCAMP – THE LONESOME JUBILEE
24. 10,000 MANIACS – IN MY TRIBE
23. HUSKER DU – WAREHOUSE: SONGS AND STORIES
22. PET SHOP BOYS – ACTUALLY
21. MIDNIGHT OIL – DIESEL AND DUST
20. DEPECHE MODE – MUSIC FOR THE MASSES
19. DEF LEPPARD – HYSTERIA
18. BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN – TUNNEL OF LOVE
17. THE SMITHS – STRANGEWAYS, HERE WE COME
16. DINOSAUR JR. – YOU'RE LIVING ALL OVER ME
15. THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN – DARKLANDS
14. BOOGIE DOWN PRODUCTIONS – CRIMINAL MINDED
13. THE REPLACEMENTS – PLEASED TO MEET ME
12. GEORGE MICHAEL – FAITH
11. PUBLIC ENEMY – YO! BUM RUSH THE SHOW
10. SPACEMEN 3 – THE PERFECT PRESCRIPTION
09. SINÉAD O’CONNOR – THE LION AND THE COBRA
08. SONIC YOUTH – SISTER
07. THE CURE – KISS ME, KISS ME, KISS ME
06. ERIC B. & RAKIM – PAID IN FULL
05. R.E.M. – DOCUMENT
04. GUNS N’ ROSES – APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION
03. PRINCE – SIGN O’ THE TIMES
02. U2 – THE JOSHUA TREE
01. MICHAEL JACKSON – BAD

Bad topping the list instead of any of #s 4-2 was a bit surprising, but not very. A solid list overall.

If you do, please don't look for any more lists after that :?

Not even- the Eurovision one is ineligible, so scratch that one. And absolutely, I promise that these are the last of them before the update.

Good list, the top 5 is really good.

Very cool to see "Bad" at the top, one of my favorites 80s albums.

Thanks, Stevie!
