It's a pretty good MJB list. BET got something right for a change lol.
I wish Love No Limit was a lot higher and Not Gon Cry was a lot lower.

So, do you guys think it was considered in or out of scope for the list.StevieFan13 wrote:Only big shocker is the lack of I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By (though I guess that's more of a feature on a Method Man song).

Re: BET - Mary J. Blige's 50 Best Songs (2014)
I don't agree with the critics' view that her first two albums would be her best. On "Mary" (1999) she has matured as a singer, and it incorporates more influence of old-school soul. To me "Time" and "Deep Inside" are her best songs. Missing is the Stevie Wonder cover "As", recorded as a duet with George Michael. That was the first song I heard from her and it aroused my interest in her albums.
De gustibus et coloribus non est disputandum.

Out of scope - unlike the Complex lists, I believe they were only counting songs that she was the main performer on.Henrik wrote:So, do you guys think it was considered in or out of scope for the list.StevieFan13 wrote:Only big shocker is the lack of I'll Be There for You/You're All I Need to Get By (though I guess that's more of a feature on a Method Man song).
