Except for the Radio X lists, I typically try to avoid sharing radio lists because they're often voted on by listeners. This one, I'm less sure of, and they have a specific section about requests, so unless someone can show that this wasn't a vote, I'm just gonna post it.

Even as someone who enjoys Sublime, I think this is excessive. I'm a little hesitant after seeing that Date Rape is one of their most-requested songs (jeez...), but I'll post the other 200 if it turns out this is eligible. (Also, I'm pretty sure the station must've made it because no way in hell by 1999 would fewer people have requested Fly and Good Riddance than anything by Sublime). And funny how there's all this dude-rock and suddenly, #70 is the quiet, reflective (and beautiful) Silent All These Years.

There's also a list called KROQ's 500 Most Requested Songs Of All-Time (Memorial Day 2006), which even has "Date Rape" above "Smells Like Teen Spirit", so...

The 500 Biggest KROQ Songs Of All Time (July 2015) has also been up for eligibility discussion.

But that one specifically mentions voting, and this one doesn't, so I dunno.

I just meant that your argument that it can't be a listeners' poll because of all the Sublime songs doesn't hold. Rather, because the lists are similar, it indicates that both lists are from the same source.

Wise. But also Sublime is (or was?) very popular in Los Angeles, where is based KROQ.

Yes they do, but it has nothing to do with if they are genre-specific or not.
