Doesn't look like a vote. Also: "the year good music began"? Um...that's a pretty auspicious claim when you consider literally the entire decade beforehand.
- David Bowie - Low
- Pink Floyd - Animals
- Ramones - Leave Home
- Television - Marquee Moon
- The Damned - Damned Damned Damned
- Peter Gabriel - Peter Gabriel
- Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
- Kraftwerk - Trans-Europe Express
- Iggy Pop - The Idiot
- The Stranglers - Rattus Norvegicus
- The Jam - In the City
- Bob Marley and the Wailers - Exodus
- Elvis Costello - My Aim is True
- Iggy Pop - Lust for Life
- Ian Dury - New Boots and Panties!!
- The Stranglers - No More Heroes
- Electric Light Orchestra - Out of the Blue
- Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols
- Queen - News of the World
- David Bowie - "Heroes"
- Ramones - Rocket to Russia
- Wire - Pink Flag

'Member when a band could be so productive they'd turn out two albums in one year? Also, sad there's no love for The Stranger (England = not huge Billy Joel fans), and thank you for no Hotel California.

Whoops. Still not my fave, no matter what year it came out (I guess I just remember this VH1 special about 77 talking about Eagles for some reason).
