Authors asked for each of them to propose their 10 best albums ranked 1 to 10.

The books is about the best Lp's of All-time as voted by 45 critics (essentially german).
Authors asked for each of them to propose their 10 best albums ranked 1 to 10.

I have to check it and make a classification...

Voted by 45 critics, each of them make a top ten of their favorite albums, some have 11 albums and even one with 14 albums.

But as the author mentions at the end of the book, after the 45 lists have been published, it is more legitimate to classify these votes by their number of appearances in the lists, instead of giving 10 points for the first place, 9 for the second place, etc.
The reason is that voters sometimes point out that their ranking could have been reversed or that sometimes their ranking is arranged in chronological order of the album's release.

So the list in attachement classified by votes and then by their number of points.
