The updated playlist:
The Ty Segall tracks:
Warm Hands (Freedom Returned): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqD_4ZvxI48
Orange Color Queen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbEQgKFor9Y
Take Care (to Comb Your Hair): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bycWOz6RwIg
Still missing are tracks from Thundercat's Drunk, because they don't have highlights mentioned. Still working on that Otisredding?

I need to read more reviews. The highlights are these, but I do not know the order:
Bus in These Streets - Show You the Way - Them Changes

Thanks! I've added them to the playlist. The order I use in the playlist is always the order they appear on the album.Otisredding wrote:I need to read more reviews. The highlights are these, but I do not know the order:

By the way, something goes wrong with the Mark Eitzel entry above. A mistake in the coloring.
Re: MCCh 2017 (03) February 28
Thanks again Otis. Is it me or is 2017 up to a slow start quality-wise? Would it be relevant to chart the average rating of the top ten records month after month and compare it with other years?
Re: MCCh 2017 (03) February 28
I agree there hasn't been a 'great' album yet this year. I think that's normal though, we often get the first wave of big albums in late spring and recent years there's just been one or two big drops in early January too.
I wonder if some indie acts have learned enough critic psychology to know January drops raise their odds of winning end of year considerations. Primacy/recency effect-wise.

Yes but the average grade for RTJ3 is above the top one in 2016 ? I would qualify this as rather "great"

But a lot of us had already listened to it in 2016, so...

Re: MCCh 2017 (03) February 28
Albums-wise, I'd call it a slow start, but for individual songs, I've been really feeling 2017 so far.

Re: MCCh 2017 (03) February 28
Agree for the most part. My two favorite albums of the year so far are Thundercat's and Sampha's, which are really good, but feel more like solid 11 - 20 type albums than top 10 of the year albums.Jirin wrote:I agree there hasn't been a 'great' album yet this year.
