AMF Chart Week 48

Post by spiritualized »

Welcome to this week's chart ! Thank you to all for 102 votes, keep them going please !

The end of the year is near and as a result, few changes : our two top songs remain the same, Solange grabs the last spot on the podium.
No new entry, the crowds having deemed that the quality of the new releases could not match the current crop.

Notably though, the excellent show from A Tribe Called Quest, who gets the privilege (as does Frank Ocean) to have two tracks in this week's chart.

Happy listening :)

I am curious about the rules - if an artist releases a single from a 2015 album today, is it eligible in the chart ?

from week 33

"all songs six months old and younger (or who have received promotion via album/video/single in the last six months) are accepted!"

Spot on Romain :)

I therefore nominate Jain - Makeba :)
Not as good as "Come", but very good nonetheless

I seconded this choice.

And if you do that, I nominate:

Another 24h to vote, get them in, plenty of nominations, but not enough votes. Looks like we are emulating real politics here !

Just a thought spiritualized: I think Setherex used to rank not only on votes but also (inversely) on weeks in the chart. So if lots of songs are tied for 10th position, the new songs get in first, then the songs that have been in for one week, then 2 weeks etc. until ten of more positions are filled. This keeps the songs turning over.

If you have been doing that then ignore me.

It's been great to have the chart back.

Hi Dave,
No I didn't know, and it makes sense. This will encourage diversity indeed. I will implement today, thanks for the tip !
