And, Bleu, I thought nothing would beat my favorite avatar of yours (the blue X-Men one) but I think this current one is amazing.

Cool! I got it from a game called Danganronpa I just played this past week. It was some weird mix of Phoenix Wright and Battle Royale/The Hunger Games; Taka was my favorite character of the cast, so he gets to be my avatar.

Just when I thought I was the nerdiest person on the forum.

It's been awhile since I played Danganronpa, but I see it now.

Phoenix Wright and Battle Royale are two of my favorite things period. I watched about half of the Danganronpa anime, and I thought it was so unoriginal, but maybe the game is better. Cool to see some fans of the stuff :)

I've heard the anime kind of skims over a lot of details due to necessity, which is bad considering this is a game where the small moments matter. The whole setup of the game is that you're forming bonds with characters who have a high chance of dying by the end. So much of the game is how you never know how much you can get to know someone before they end up dead. Even worse is if you spend your free time with someone who ends up being one of the murderers; having to sentence a friend to death can be a real punch to the gut. I'm assuming the anime puts an emphasis on the trials, which don't have as much impact without the more intimate moments between. Also, consolidating a 20+ hour visual novel into a 6 hour show can be difficult.
