Prediction: Smells Like Teen Spirit ends up being the number one song of all time according to AM this year or next. Oh, I'm still waiting for the day Heart-Shaped Box is deemed the greatest grunge song.

Yeah, I think that too. But who knows.
Henrik said this in 2014:
Henrik wrote:Here are the "scores" for the top 25 albums and songs, to give you an idea of which albums/songs that have a good chance to advance in coming updates.

Songs

9874 1. Bob Dylan - Like a Rolling Stone
9804 2. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
9700 3. The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations

As you can see, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is closer to "Like a Rolling Stone" than "Good Vibrations". However, the scale is such that the benefit of a top spot in a new critics' list is smaller the closer you get to 10,000.

Just a note: Unless Paste is acceptable as a "grunge" outlet, this probably isn't eligible for AM.

No surprise, though, that Nirvana would dominate such a list.

Maybe.............................

But not because of this list, as Paste isn't a grunge outlet and therefore this list isn't eligible.

Good thing they didn't swamp the list with Nirvana songs. I like genre-specific lists because you get to see some unexpected choices. While I think "Superunknown" is a solid and underrated grunge song I think it should swap ranks with "Rearviewmirror", a superior song which is also unacclaimed. Bush's "Machinehead" is a terrible choice, I would have preferred "Everything Zen" or better yet, none at all.

Actually, I've been doing some work with the songs for the next update, and it currently looks like three songs have a similar chance to be number one of all time. "Like a Rolling Stone", "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Hotline Bling"!!!

Good. It's nice to see a song so immediately accepted for its greatness. "Hotline Bling" has already irreversibly changed the course of music, and we might never get a track as revolutionary again.

You think it's too unlikely, apparently. Didn't I upset anyone?

I got upset, because I think that song sounds like a dying llama moaning in pain. If anyone can convince me otherwise, I'm all up for that. Plus it's not that revolutionary, it's a pop culture phenomenon. Big difference.

Not meaning to take over your list, I would suggest making it ineligible for the top due to the fact it was released last year!

Everyone knows Drake ripped off this beat from Brel's outstanding "Les poissons d'Avril" Too bad it's not available on Spotify, the comparison is obvious.

Actually, I fell for every single one of those comments.
