The top 10 songs from last week's chart went through to this week's. Not too many big developments on the change this week. Some lightly repeated songs out, a couple strong contenders in. There really shouldn't be a lot to report on until that batch of three reaches the Hall of Fame in another five weeks. Until then, let's sit back and enjoy the show. Thanks, also, to everyone who submitted so many nominations last week! Sad that some didn't get through, but the more always the merrier, of course :D

2016 Chart-Toppers by Week (by vote count, not chart position; total weeks atop chart in parentheses):
1. David Bowie - "Blackstar" (2)
2. David Bowie - "Blackstar" (3)
3. David Bowie - "Blackstar" (4)
4. David Bowie - "Blackstar" (5)
5. PJ Harvey - "The Wheel"
6. PJ Harvey - "The Wheel" (2)

2015 Hall of Fame (10 weeks of advancing votes; automatically retired from chart):
Björk - "Black Lake" (Weeks 4 - 13)
Courtney Barnett - "Pedestrian at Best" (Weeks 5 - 14)
Father John Misty - "I Love You, Honeybear" (Weeks 7 - 16)
Sufjan Stevens - "No Shade in the Shadow of the Cross" (Weeks 8 - 17)
Courtney Barnett - "Depreston" (Weeks 10 - 19)

Joanna Newsom - "Sapokanikan" (Weeks 33 - 42)
Deafheaven - "Brought to the Water" (Weeks 34 - 43)
Mbongwana Star - "Suzanna" (Weeks 34 - 43)
Julia Holter - "Sea Calls Me Home" (Weeks 37 - 46)
Joanna Newsom - "Leaving the City" (Weeks 39 - 48)
Julia Holter - "Silhouette" (Weeks 40 - 49)

Songs that entered the chart in 2015 will be added to the 2015 Hall of Fame, rather than the 2016 Hall of Fame.

Here is this week's 16-song Spotify chart (with 2 songs included below via YouTube link, and 2 via external link):

Julie Doiron - "Thought of You"

Mr. Fingers - "Qwazars"
Here is your 2016 AMF Chart playlist of all songs on the chart so far this year:

Thank you all for voting and nominating continuously every week! Please don't be afraid to supply us with nominations - all songs six months old and younger (or who have received promotion via album/video/single in the last six months) are accepted! And seconding nominations by others gives those songs a better chance at making the next poll!

As per usual, the next poll will be created as close to Sunday at 19:00 UTC as I can make it. Best of voting! :D

Apologies once more to luney6 - "Instrumental 4" appears to fall out of our six-month guideline as well! But no worries. Please keep up with the nominating enthusiasm :greetings-waveyellow:

This week, my vote has changed slightly. I am warming up to "Lazarus" progressively, so it moves up in my esteem...
The highlight of the week is still PJ Harvey's. Great song, deserves a HoF. However, some really high quality contenders are in the starting blocks - Triangulo de Amor Bizarro /Karma to Burn / The Joy Formidable.

Honorable mentions to Moderat/Field Music/Julie Doiron / Courtney Barrett (who makes me think of someone else it's uncanny...I forgot her name though !!!)

Savages lose out to this new roster. Suede is still horrible. Is their song auto-tuned ?

I hear ya Romain! I'm really getting into Anderson.Paak. I predict that by year's end he'll explode. Great stuff.

That's why I'm gonna nominate his track - 'Parking Lot'

Has he not already? I do hope you listen to Anderson's new album as well, Romain. It's, as the kids say, fire.

Random question posed to you all: the voter count rarely seems to be a number divisible by five, meaning that some voters aren't using all their votes each week. Which is perfectly fine, of course, I'm just wondering if anyone who does such has a common reason as to why they do. Out of curiosity

Interestingly enough, this is a repeat nom of one I made back in... I think December? of last year. Got myself a good zero votes with that one

But, as always, songs can be repeated on the Chart with two supporting votes. So I suppose I'll give you mine to start ;)

1st post. Haven't heard 'The Pop Kids', yet, I'll give it a whirl when I get home, but without wanting to split the vote I'd like to nominate Pet Shop Boys 'Inner Sanctum'. Also could probably nominate the whole of Emma Pollock's (ex Delgados) new album, 'In Search of Harperfield' but will start with lead single 'Parks & Recreation'.

Now to vote. Tricky as there are 6 I love before I even listen to the full list. Might have to vote tactically.

My Australian nomination for this week had been released on August 25, 2015 as a single, so that's still 6 days within the 6 months:

"Ui Yia Uia" by "NO ZU"

Sneaky sneaky ;)

I'm having a very difficult time narrowing my nominations down for the week - which is probably futile since it's a MegaCritic week too, but it's worth the try...

I miscounted, there was actually 7 in contention before I started, with others strongly persuading me to 'Put me thru'. In the end went for CRJ, CB, DB, RH & PJH, or at least I think I did as there are 5 ticks against them but it still says submit vote?

Yes, you are welcome to change your votes before the deadline as much as you want. I'm not sure on the exact formatting of it, since I don't personally vote.
