Built To Spill
Ill Communication
Stereolab
Pavement
Divine Comedy

Any big omissions/recommendations? My two favourite albums so far are Crooked Rain Crooked Rain (6th all time!) and probably the Divine Comedy album, though Stereolab's Mars Audiac Quintet push it quite hard.

I would add Disco Inferno's DI Go Pop, Ween's Chocolate and Cheese, Laika's Silver Apples of the Moon, and maybe Bark Psychosis' Hex (if you like stuff like Talk Talk's last two albums).
I have a big list myself of stuff I need to get to this month. I'm most excited about Built to Spill, Organized Konfusion, Pulp, Tortoise, and Kyuss.

Beck's "One Foot In The Grave"
Nirvana
Massive Attack
Ben Harper
FSOL (from my electro days)
Ismael Lo - Iso
Black Crowes
Pavement
Negresses Vertes
Mc Solaar
Iris DeMent
Kante Manfila
Danyel Waro
DeUs
Nick Cave
Outkast
etc...
Any suggestions (you know me, please no noisy indie or punk rock or pretentious post rock or post jazz) ?

Ok, but "The Man Who Sold The World" and other songs that were not released by the band before would be, right?
Harold wrote:Presumably, the Unplugged tracks that would be eligible for the 1994 songs list would be "Jesus Don't Want Me for a Sunbeam," "The Man Who Sold the World," and "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" Probably not the three Meat Puppets songs, though.

What would be the rationale for that?

Upon further reflection, I guess there wouldn't be one. I think I let my judgment get colored by the fact that the Kirkwood brothers play on those tracks. Since they hadn't been released before -by Nirvana-, they'd be eligible if anyone wanted to vote for them.
