My picks:
1. Tom Waits - Bone Machine vs. Talk Talk - The Colour of Spring
2. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F#A#8 vs. JJ Cale - Naturally
3. Fela Kuti – Original Sufferhead vs. Rodriguez - Cold Fact
4. Jacques Brel - Jacques Brel [Ces gens-là] vs. Exuma - Exuma I (1970)

For what it's worth, match-up #3 was the closest of the entire tournament for me - I had to go 3 decimals out in my rating system to choose Fela.

The rest were easy.

Thanks!

Before the votes I want to point out that there was no "winner" of Round 4. The 8 remaining albums were nominated by 9 AMers ("F#A#∞" received two nominations). Those 9 voters were antonius, Henrik, HRS, Jirin, Listyguy, Logan, nicolas, PlasticRam and TimmyWing.

My votes, this time Stephan (or Jirin) style:
1. Jacques Brel - Jacques Brel 82
2. Tom Waits - Bone Machine 79,3
3. Talk Talk - The Colour of Spring 77,5
4. J.J. Cale – Naturally 76,6
5t. Godspeed You! Black Emperor - F#A#∞ 75
5t. Fela Anikulapo Kuti & Egypt 80 - Original Sufferhead 75
7. Rodriguez - Cold Fact 74,1
8. Exuma - Exuma 72,8

The only match-up that was clear for me beforehand was the last one (Brel vs. Exuma). That's why I decided to listen again the complete albums and assign points to the songs. In two cases (second and third match-up) this method made me change my initial choice. But with the slightest of margins!

The umpteenth prove of the open-minded attitude and the varied taste of our beloved forum is our MA5 quarter finals, 8 albums from 6 different countries: USA (3), UK, Canada, Nigeria, Belgium and Bahamas.

If one person can decide 2, let's go Godspeed and Fela... If I can only decide one, Godspeed gets my vote :music-listening:
