AMF Weekly Chart HoF Best Songs of 2020

Hello everyone, and welcome to the yearly poll to find AMF's top songs of the year.

Eligible songs are those that have made the Hall of Fame on the weekly chart this week. Please rank as many as you like, the more the better, and I will reveal the results on New Year's Day - simultaneously on here, and live on Welcombe Radio from 1600 - 2000 GMT. You can post your rankings here, or PM me, whichever you prefer.

As I need to get the show ready in plenty of time, voting will close at 0000 GMT on 30th December.

To give everyone enough time to get their votes in, I am opening voting now and including the four songs which are still eligible to make the Hall of Fame later this year - if any of them don't make it I will just quietly remove them.

Also in that scouring, I found that I nominated "Delete Forever" by Grimes, which didn't have success in the weekly chart but now seems poised for a possible top 10 placement in our EOY songs poll.

Grimes is really hit or miss for me and that song is so oddly great in an otherwise subpar album. I really don’t even think it belongs on the album, it seems out of place.

Cellophane fared worse last year, falling in the first week of the chart, and just look at how that was embraced by the forum by the end of the year. Maybe both songs best reveal their charms after a few more listens than the Weekly Chart allows? (I have to confess that I like Delete Forever more than when I first heard it) I'm conscious of Kyoto being expected to challenge Spotlight for the SOTY but I wouldn't rule out a high placement for I Know the End, which should be in my own top 20.
