Ugh. All the good ones keep going.

I thought he had an interesting approach to film. His blending of real and unreal was something I saw nobody ever try. It was a very clever move.

Seriously, though, so many figures I admire passing away: Bowie, Prince, Ali, and now Kiarostami. And were only halfway through the year...

A eulogy should generally be from someone who intimately knew the deceased, but I will say, from what I know of him, that Taste of Cherry and Close up were fantastic films, although they both had some unfortunate flaws. But still, for anyone who hasn't yet seen the films, this would be a great excuse to do so!
