Films of the 2000s: Tie-break A Single Man vs. Up in the Air

Post by Petri »

So before we can start the final voting there's going to be a tie-break: A Single Man vs. Up in the Air
Both got 77 points with 6 votes so I think we haven't decided how we going to choose a winner if both tied movies have same amount of votes.

So if you have seen BOTH movies please vote for your favorite. You have time to vote for your favorite till sunday (19th of June) the final should start as soon as possible so I think it's enough time.

If you already gave points to both movies I count your support to the one that were higher on your list (if you want to change this please inform about it).

So Miguel and Gillingham have voted for Up in the Air
and Barry voted for A Single Man

If you accidentially meant to vote for A Serious Man instead of A Single Man or Up instead of Up in the Air (or vice versa) please let me know.

Both are really close in my book. A Single Man might be the better made movie, but I enjoyed Up in the Air just a bit more. So I stand by my choice for Up in the Air.
Both worthy contenders though.

Up in the Air by the tiniest of margins. I don't think it's a really profound movie, actually quite misguided in some ways, but it's entertaining, while A Single Man was a bit of a drag and basis for this melodrama was a bit thin for me.

A Single Man

I wish I had put it on #12 instead of #13... :angry-banghead:

The result is still up in the air. A single man's vote can make the difference.
