I probably need to see a few more movies to finalize my list but I have an idea of how it will look.

Thanks for taking up this poll, Petri.

I'd really like to participate, but I'm not sure if I've seen enough to contribute a worthwhile list. Is there a minimum number of films to have seen that's recommended for voting?

The formula (2100/(xi+20)) takes into account the movies you haven't seen and gives them a score of the average placement of your list (for example if you have seen 50 movies the ones you haven't seen will get the score that #25,5 (46,15 points) would get (#1 gets 100 points and #50 30 points) and if you have seen 85 movies the not seen ones get score of #43 (33,33 points and the last one #85 20 points). So basically the amount of movies you have seen won't affect that much to the movies you haven't seen but the less you have seen the more harm it will affect to the movies at the bottom of your list (because the difference for example between #49 and #50 is bigger than between #84 and #85).
There isn't a minimum number of films you have to see to participate but I think if you have seen less than 25 movies (that came from nowhere) there's still a month to watch more.

Twelve days (including today) time to vote. So far I've received three ballots.

Few words about sending a list. I prefer the Excel sheet (rank the movies you've seen in the excel sheet (don't change the id-numbers) and leave the cells empty you haven't seen (don't rank the unseen ones). And most importantly use the Excel sheet that you can download from the first post of this thread (you can rename the file if you want to (add your name to it etc.)).

If you can't/don't want to use excel sheet please use the names of the movies taken from the second post of this thread. It's way easier to sort the list if the titles in your list are similar to titles here in this thread (and in Excel sheet). Also please add the ones you haven't seen in the bottom of your list (again only rank the ones you have seen). And if you add the rank after the movie it would be a little less work for me as well (and I appreciate that :) ).
So if you don't send an excel sheet it goes like this
Film1 1 (favorite movie in the final)
Film2 2
...
Film80 80 (the worst movie among the finalists the voter have seen)
The not seen ones in any order (but definitely without the rank).

Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
Thanks.

I missed this poll completely up till now, but considering I have seen all but 8 films on the list I could easily vote. One of those 8, Nightcrawler, I have readily available and I will give it a look. Maybe some of the other seven if I can get my hands on them, but my time is limited so probably not.

4,5 days left to vote. So far I've received eight lists (including mine) so keep them coming :greetings-waveyellow:

Some early statistics:
The average amount of movies voters have seen: 75
The amount of movies everyone (who have voted) has seen: 23
Amount of voters the least seen movie has: 1 (there's actually one movie that have been seen so far by only one voter)
The difference in points between current #1 and #100: 358,1 (considering that movie gets 100 points for #1 spot and 22,1 points for #75 spot (which is in a way an average score of last spot (because of the the average amount of movies people have seen) the 358,1 is a huge difference in points.

If you need some extra days to vote please let me know. Otherwise the countdown will start at first of December.

Ladies and gentlemen, last day to vote!
So far I've received ballots from antonius, BleuPanda, bonnielaurel, Depeche Mode, Future Critic, Gillingham, Greg, Harold, Michel, schaefer.tk and whuntva (+ I have voted too). I hope at least all the regular voters will have time to submit their list (20 voters would be nice).
I have built the Excel sheets so that everything is automatic (even the fans and haters sections + forumcode) so I can start the countdown right after the dead line. Nevertheless if someone needs few extra days please let me. Also BleuPanda announced in the Films of the Early 20th Century: Overall List Submissions -thread that he will start the countdown tomorrow. So I can wait and start the countdown after that one (or do you think we should have two poll results same time?).

I'd be totally down for having them simultaneously. I could start on the first part of the all-time project in the second-half of the month if we both finish by the 15th.

Just sent off my list, I'm excited for the outcome! I had seen just over 60 of the films, I'm impressed as I thought I had been slack with film the last few years.
