Films of the Early 20th Century: 1947-1949

Post by BleuPanda »

Disregard the other topic. It won't let me close it for now. I think I miscounted somehow.

The rules:

You can post a list of anywhere between 1 and 15 films (or more, but only 15 will be counted) from the period we're covering. The deciding factor in terms of release dates is the RYM list and the top 15 of each period will go on to the final top 150. The deadline is December 31st.

The points scheme is as follows:
1. 50
2. 40
3. 30
4. 20
5. 15
6. 10
7. 9
8. 8
9. 7
10. 6
11. 5
12. 4
13. 3
14. 2
15. 1

However, these are the maximum amounts of points. If you want to put certain films on your list but don't want to give them too many points, you can choose to give these less points than in this scheme (but never more) to decrease the impact on the overall results. If you don't specifically state that you want to give (some of) your films fewer points, I will assume the standard scheme.

Here are some lists to remind you of the films released in this period:
RYM: http://rateyourmusic.com/films/chart?pa ... &year=1947
http://rateyourmusic.com/films/chart?pa ... &year=1948
http://rateyourmusic.com/films/chart?pa ... &year=1949
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/year/1947
http://www.imdb.com/year/1948
http://www.imdb.com/year/1949

If you vote for 4 movies or less, this is the adjusted scores:
4 votes
1. Movie 40 p
2. 30 p
3. 20 p
4. 15 p

3 votes
1. Movie 30 p
2. 20 p
3. 15 p

2 votes
1. Movie 20 p
2. 15 p

1 vote
1. Movie 15 p

My current list, though I plan to check out a couple more before making it final. (I don't tally until the last day, so I'm fine with edits along the way. Obviously don't edit to exploit the numbers.)
