Males dominate best-of lists, as we know, though this one looks even more lacking of female entries in the main list than others. At least that's how it looks?

Yeah it definitely could use more Latifah, Missy and Lyte. There is no Salt N Pepa which is glaring. No Lauryn Hill either but they may not consider her album hip-hop and no TLC which might be the same as Lauryn.

Agree with you on male dominated. This is list is not oldhead. There are plenty of post 2000s albums in this list.

But the vast majority are 90s and 80s though even though I personally believe objectivy the genre is more diverse and better now more than ever

66 out of the 250 which is how it should be. I'm not sure how much more you want. The 80s and 90s are the best decades for hip hop. The genre might be more diverse now but that doesn't mean it's better.

There is no way I or most people who love hip hop will say that the decade of the 2000s is the definitive decade for hip hop. The golden age of hip hop will always be the mid 80s to the 90s and nothing has replaced that. This list and many other lists like this confirm that. I know this is your opinion and all but no man. Hip hop has definitely not gotten much better. It's different for sure and a lot more people that think they can rap/diversity but not better.
