I was looking at this list, and the #88 song, "Rock Me Baby" by BB King, is not from the 50s, it's from 1964.

I’m almost positive this list is already on the site.

I checked. It is.
Re: NME's 100 Best Songs Of The 50s
This makes zero sense to me. I get that it's a cover of a song first made in 1951, but why not include a version actually recorded in the 1950s, or include B.B. King's version in a list of the best 60s songs?

The dope who made the list thinks it's from the 50s.

I think their logic is "the original version was made in the 50s, hence we're including it, but we'll use the best known version to represent it, even if that version isn't actually from the 50s."Hymie wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 6:42 amThe dope who made the list thinks it's from the 50s.

I think they just don't know that the BB King is not from the 50s.Mason wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 6:45 amI think their logic is "the original version was made in the 50s, hence we're including it, but we'll use the best known version to represent it, even if that version isn't actually from the 50s."
