Great list for sure! I am surprised that the choice for The Postal Service is "Against All Odds" and not "Such Great Heights"

I would add:

- D'Angelo's cover of "Feels Like Makin' Love" (Roberta Flack)
- Anthony & the Johnsons' cover of "Crazy in Love" (Beyoncé)
- Luther Vandross' cover of "A House is not A Home" (Dionne Warwick)
- Grizzly Bear's cover of "He Hit Me (And It Feels Like Kiss)" (The Crystals)
- Joni Mitchell's cover of "Both Sides Now" (Judy Collins)

Shouldn't that be the other way around, since Joni wrote the song?

I do think Collins' familiar hit version was released first; the version on Ladies of the Canyon, I think, was the first time Mitchell recorded it herself (same with "The Circle Game"). It raises an interesting question - when a songwriter records his or her own version of a song made famous by another artist, does it actually count as a cover? (I'm thinking here also of "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" on Carole King's Tapestry.)

Such Great Heights is not a cover, unless you refer to the Iron & Wine version, who released it as a cover on the Postal Service single.
