ROLLING STONE - 50 Best Stand-Up Comics of All Time

Post by o.m. »

Hey guys, I found this list this morning. I know it has got nothing to do with music but interesting nonetheless...Can you guys tell us what you think about it? Did they forget important comics not to be missed? Can you recommend some legendary performances? I discovered personnally a whole new world here...If it can launch a good discussion or provoke some big laughters, well, then the goal would be attained...Thank you...

I do enjoy Patton Oswalt. The rest are either great or I'm still looking them up.

Not a bad list, only major gripe is that Rodney Dangerfield is at #26 and he should be a shoo-in for any top ten.

Rolling Stone continues to be terrible at these things. Murphy and Dangerfield way too low. Louis C.K. way too high. Amy Schumer shouldn't be anywhere near this poll with her joke thievery and unfunniness.

^Amen to this. While Amy sometimes handles well with the delivery and timing, she recycles too much, steals often and hasn't done anything which would distinguish her from others like Sarah Silverman and Ali Wong.
