Prog: The History of prog in 50 albums (2016)

Post by Pierre »

Prog is a lesser known mag in the Team Rock stable. Here's the declaration of intention:

"[...]We look at the key albums that have shaped it from the 60s to today. These aren’t necessarily the biggest or most famous albums – they’re the ones without which prog would sound very different.[...]"

Misplaced Childhood is actually my dad's favorite album. I'm not really inclined to agree, but I've heard worse.

I don't have much opinion about 80's prog. I've listened very little of it (and most sounded like fantasy-themed synthpop/synthrock/AOR), including this album once, but I have no recollection of it. I may have to delve into that style more.
