I wonder if this really was their own opinion, or if it's a "meta list" , a summary of other lists, like AM. It is SO similar...!

Some spots reminded me of AM and the Rolling Stone list, but ultimately I think the presence of an album like Mellon Collie that high, especially in 2003, makes me think that they came up with it themselves. Sometimes, a list is just basic as shit.

I knew it!

I found a list of the 100 best songs from the same magazine issue that is based on lists from Rolling Stone, Mojo, Spex, etc., so I think we should definitely assume that the albums list was made the same way. This means that the lists are not eligible.
