So, apparently the decade lists dry up after the '70s, but then they jump forward right to the present decade and the decade before.
Chart success was a factor, but it also looks like quality and impact were major factors.

Some great, some less so. I may lose credibility for saying this, but I adore Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy). Also, switch out Girl Crush with Follow Your Arrow by Kacey Musgraves and it'd be perfect.

I mean the oldest songs..it seems the main criteria was to be on the Billboard country charts, I hope it doesn't.
