It's complicated... but this list won't get a high weight.

I won't judge the albums I don't know, but the ones I know are mostly odd.

Helmet's drummer is brilliant, his Helmet or Battles albums easily showcases that and I guess Blood Sugar Sex Magik is an interesting example of the style of its drummer (I wouldn't say he is the best, but he is his signature style... plus who doesn't love Anchorman and Elf ? even if Stranger than Fiction is his best movie). And of course, this kind of list with no Tool would be even odder than it already is.
And the other hand, American Idiot ? How is that a better drum album than Dookie ?
I never pictured Brad Wilk as an incredible drummer, so it's strange to see Evil Empire in there, though to be fair Vietnow is fairly impressive.
Midnight Oil and Lucinda Williams, that's really unexpected.

On the other hand, no Songs for the Deaf, no Siamese Dream (seriously, Geek U.S.A. is an incredible drum performance), no Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, no Silent Alarm... and no Mastodon, Dream Theater (ok, I hate that band besides the drums, but still), no Primus...

I love the Treble's list of their 50 favorite drummers, much more up my alley.
