If you have any, share. But be sure to note (and maybe do so in the original post as well) which albums are compilations and which aren't. I might try adding them to the spreadsheet.

I'd advise caution. Compilations on AM are defined with specific criteria which are not all the same ones as on RYM, and I'm not sure all the compilations are indicated (the Cachao entries are really albums, for instance?). Otherwise, isn't the list incomplete? The guy specifically indicates that only the albums featured on RYM are mentioned.

Good point.

I talked with the guy, and it's including all the albums, he added to RYM the albums that weren't mentioned previously.

About compilations, I don't know which criteria is different from other added lists. It's needed the same caution, not anymore.

If all the albums are included then it's OK, but I already talked several times about how compilations on AM don't have the same definition as they have elsewhere: on AM, a compilation is considered as such if most of the material on it (the line is blurry) was already released on other LPs or compilations. When it's an album of outtakes or archival material that was never released on other LPs or compilations, then it's considered an album on AM, while it will most probably be considered a compilation on RYM, Discogs or Allmusic. That's why a thorough check is needed. Besides, as I said, there are also errors on these websites: are Cachao's entries, to stick with this exemple, really albums or compilations? And if they're actually compilations, then it means that other errors are possible with other entries because the guys who added the albums on RYM did a botched job, which is frequent with non-English artists.

Also, panam, sorry, but your last sentence's grammar doesn't make any sense ;)

I got it, Pierre. I could make some research about those compilations. In the case of Cuba, I know some music was never released after the Cuban revolution because it was confiscated by the Castro regime, but I can investigate about every particular case.

And yeah, my english is not really good. But at least, you understood it hehehe.

One of the list I needed to work and get lost in the avalanche. Maybe with a little help of somebody could be finished.

I think half of these are ”next step” choices.
