Italian author Lorenzo Barbagli released two books titled "Guida al Nuovo Progressive Rock 1990-2008" in 2009 and "Il Progressive Rock nell'Era del Punk e della New Wave 1976-1989" in 2011, also releasing a combined edition titled "After the Flood - Progressive Rock 1976-2010" that same year. What's interesting is that there's an appendix titled "Progressive playlist" in all books featuring albums from the covered periods, divided according to the book's chapters, and featuring what the author believes are the key albums from the period. The last one from the compilatory book will be the one I'll write down, since it compiles the selections from both other books. It misses the two opening chapters, but they're featured in the sample from the 1976-1989 book, so it's possible to reconstitute the entire list of albums.

I hope it's eligible because this period of the history of prog rock is generally overlooked otherwise.
