http://www.senscritique.com/livre/Playl ... Rock/98381

Don't know if this one is eligible Henrik?
This book contains 2000 songs divided in 160 playlists of 10 songs (by artist, by genre or by theme) + 80 playlists of 5 completely themed, funny and offbeat songs.
Ex: 10 songs of michael jackson
5 songs on a the hotel theme

I really can't tell without knowing the selection criteria in the book. Do you have a physical copy or did you just find it on the senscritique website?

Sorry, i got it by error. i can tell you more about that.
From the preface:
The artist and genres playlists are based on major artists and genres from the last 50 years according to the author.
(Ex in the book Nirvana, Dire Straits, Michael Jackson, Depeche Mode, Bob Dylan, Beatles...).
It concerns 160 playlist of 10 songs.
The resulting 80 playlists of 5 songs are more offset.
I can be 5 songs about sun theme (ex: "It always the sun", "the sun's gonna shine anymore"...)
or hotel theme ("Blue Hotel", "Hotel Yorba"...)
All in all, it's always songs chosen by the author.

After that, i think it is perfectly eligible, isn't it ?

Yes, it's eligible unless it says it's the 10 biggest hits by each artist, or something like that.

So you have the book and can transcribe it?

not precisely mentionned, but i don't think so.

Ex: Fall out by The Police (1977).

Not a hit at all in France.

More than that, there's an information or anecdote for each song.
However, some artists choice are questionable, but Each has its own taste.

Here's the list in excel file.
Some artists choices are very questionable like Britney Spears, Korn or Robbie Williams.
I would Prefer to see Portishead instead, even if there's some songs from them.
All in All, it's a very good list.

See Manchec Sheet.

PS: very glad to see 16 Horsepower "Black Soul Choir" in the list, a very very good song.

EDIT: 2060 songs - 15 songs which appears twice = 2045 songs
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Thanks for posting. Some acts have more than 10 selections, thanks to those other themed lists.

Just Beatles & rolling Stones have 2x10 playlists
Others have 10 and theme playlists have 5

I just meant that, for instance, an act has a 10-song playlist. And then additional songs from that act appear in the theme playlists- that gives the act more than 10 songs. :)
