Here's the result of an impromptu search. I stumbled unto this blog:

Which features two sets of lists of Japanese rock albums. Here's the first one, according to the blog author, it's a list compiled by Japanese magazine Tarakajima in 1992, after polling 59 people from the music industry on their personal top five of the greatest Japanese rock albums of all-time. There's also a bonus 60th participant whose ballot was not accounted for (yeah, why make things simple?). I'm posting the global top 20 and the individual top 5.
To note, the presence of "Tago Mago" in one of the ballots. The singer being Damo Suzuki is apparently enough of an excuse.
