PopMatters - Best Albums of the 00's (2014)

Here is the first part

100) D'Angelo - Voodoo
99) Mastodon - Leviathan
98) Autechre - Confield
97) Miranda Lambert - Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
96) Iron & Wine - The Shepherd's Dog
95) Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
94) Elliott Smith - Figure 8
93) The Clientele - Strange Geometry
92) Guided by Voices - Isolation Drills
91) Manic Street Preachers - Journal for Plague Lovers
90) Nickel Creek - Why Should the Fire Die?
89) Vex'd - Degenerate
88) Amon Tobin - Foley Room
87) Antony and the Johnsons - I Am a Bird Now
86) The Decemberists - The Crane Wife
85) Boards of Canada - Geogaddi
84) My Morning Jacket - It Still Moves
83) Bubba Sparxxx - Deliverance
82) Bob Dylan - Love and Theft
81) Cannibal Ox - The Cold Vein

They released an article called "a polite dissent to Kid A" and another one explaining why Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Oracular Spectacular and White Blood Cells are fading and don't deserve classic status... not too sure if those are signs of futur results or just personal opinions of one writer.

If you read them they are clearly personal opinions. The one about Kid A is somewhat interesting, if also a bit condescending towards people who like it, but the other one about Wilco, MGMT and The White Stripes seems pointless, because the writer doesn't seem to have all that much problems with the albums.

Yeah but I meant I don't know if they are warnings or reactions to the main list, they have mean validated by the redaction team, if they want any editorial coherence they should at least partly follow those.

I kind of agree with them regarding Oracular Spectacular and White Blood Cells, but Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is to me a masterpiece that still manages to get better with age. And it's funny how White Blood Cells managed to rank higher than Elephant, even after that article. I think Elephant is the FAR better album.
