Hi Henrik!

Just as JR did for the English-speaking lists, and Blanco did for the Spanish language ones, I'm doing this summary of the French lists remaining to be added! It's possible I forgot some, these are the ones I could dig up.

Actually, i have scanned the whole song list but i don't have album list.
But i can possess it.
There's also a 2009 version of this book(that i can possess also), is it necessary to have it in AM?
i think that in AM, it's the 2007 version.

The 2009 edition seems unnecessary.

Besides, the album list is available on Hervé Bourhis' Facebook page so only the song list is needed in the absolute (although copying the album list would surely help Henrik, since on Bourhis' Facebook the albums are listed on image files). Thanks as well lagire!

Ok, i discuss with o.m about "1001 chansons qu'il faut avoir écouter dans sa vie".
he said that this book is a little bit different than his english version.
there's also in this book 10000 other songs.
I think it's illegible in AM, isn't it?
i can have the book easily and fill them in a file.
Same remark with the english version and i thing there's also a latin version.

I think that the current inducted version of the book on AM.net already features the 10,000 songs complement. However, if what o.m. said is true, then I think it has to be checked which version of the book is here on AM.net, for I've seen that for example, "Le Poinçonneur des Lilas" is listed in the inducted list, so maybe the version used here is already the French one (or else, it means that this song is inducted in the English version, which would be great, but it needs to be confirmed).

Henrik, i sent you the whole list by excel.

Concerning "Le petit livre rock" from Hervé Bourhis, excel file was sent to Henrik with the 3 versions (2013, 2010 and 2007).

I have the book "La discothèque parfaite de l'odysée du rock" (2013).
I can fill the "ça devrait vous plaire" albums (up to 350) and the songs additions (up to 3500) in an excel file.

I agree that it would be fantastic, but be careful because that's a harder chore than it seems: I looked at it in libraries and noticed that for albums there were both complete new entries before 2009 (such as Camille's "Le Fil" in 2005) and modifications to previously existing "Ça devrait vous plaire" sections (at least one occurrence: Mika's entry for "Life in Cartoon Motion" now features Stromae's "Cheese"). That need to review the entirety of the book to get everything right was partly what discouraged me from copying the content here.

Of course i am reviewing all the book.

It's not, unfortunately, this list was voted by the site visitors, not the site's staff.

I have the french version of "1001 chansons you must hear before you die".
In addition of the whole list, A french song list of Stephane Davet is included at the beginning of the book.
I fill it and i check english and french version to see if there's some differences.
I don't think but maybe.

A quick message to signal that I updated the top message with a few lists I missed that were posted in the last few months. Hope I'm not forgetting any.

That's not the only one, and besides, the lists that were added were not done so completely since Henrik has not yet added any pre-2014 entries (that's why I didn't erase the summary of lists after the update). You need to wait at the very least one more year.

Only Stephane Davet preface songs was included on last update.

Now, you can add it.
The Davet's preface songs will be replace with the "1001 songs..." french version.

I would like to update the summary, but I've been away for too long and I've totally lost tracks, especially with the recent EmilienDelRey-led galore of lists. If someone was nice enough to point me out at the threads for French lists, I'd gladly include them.

I added this list, and a link to the Le Mot et le Reste collection.

I believe there's a lot more other topics though, but as I said earlier, it's a total mess around here now

That's not a problem, it can remain listed here in the meantime. Henrik will add these lists whenever he feels his health and time leave him room for that. No matter what, there's a humongous amount of lists on this board that will not be added in the next update

Yes, indeed, there's:

- Top 100 Classic
- Top 100 Jazz
- Top 100 Opéra (Don't think it's eligible)
- Top 100 Rock'n'Roll
- Top 100 Pop Music

Look at Top 100 Classic, all Old Classical Records, so not eligible.
