Not sure if it was posted already, but the site dated as a list that came out this week, so:

http://www.pastemagazine.com/blogs/list ... s.html?p=9

I'd list the albums, but i'm using a phone here, so i'm sorry about that ;)

And there's also a best album of the 80s list - this slightly older from February 1st

I just came across the 90s list, as well. :) However, it says the following:
"We asked Paste editors, writers, as well as Twitter followers and Facebook fans what albums from the ’90s still matter to them. Here are the 90 Best Albums of the 1990s."

So, the 90s list would not be eligible, as it includes "reader" input.

The 80s list may have been posted at the old forum- not sure.

If Paste is passing this off as their definitive list, I think it belongs. Maybe the lack of Madonna scared you off from it's inclusion.

Nope...

just the input from readers/site visitors. :)

Ugh a list with Summerteeth in the top 20 being thrown out maybe enough to send me back into exile. :angry-banghead:

It's not JR's decision though...

This is a borderline case, for sure. Most certainly I would exlude this list if it was from a lesser known source. But, as you said Jonathon, this seems to be Paste's definitive list of the '90s. And it could be that they asked their Twitter followers and Facebook fans "for advice" rather than using their votes for some sort of point system.

I'm not sure yet, but I'm more for than against right now.

Glad you see it my way, or are leaning my way.

The site does say that "We asked Paste editors, writers, as well as Twitter followers and Facebook fans what albums from the ’90s still matter to them" so I think it should be included. Paste ediotrs and writers are obviously a legitimate musical criticsm source, and the level input from their Twitter followers and Facebook fans remains in question. I think it should be let in.

The only way to know is to ask someone at Paste, I suppose. if that's the case, I have no issue with its inclusion- but then it brings up other lists that could have had similar "input/advice" from readers/web-site visitors.

Could someone please transcribe these two lists ('80s and '90s)? Thanks in advance!
