I had been wondering if Beyoncé's spectacularly and wholly unexpected end-of-year release would make any lists. I have a feeling that if she had dropped it sooner (say, early November), it might be ranked very high on the EOY spreadsheet right now. We'll have to see how many other lists it makes - this will likely not be the last.

I wonder if many publications like Pitchfork will find some way to get her included in next year's lists.
