*It is specified that Microcastle would be higher if all voters knew they could vote for it. Microcastle was released before the creation of the site, but Microcastle/Weird Era Cont later, thus the confusion !

I expect those to be in the top 20 :
Merriweather Post Pavilion
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (I'd say one of those 2 will be #1)
Halcyon's Digest
Veckatimest
The Suburbs
Hospice
Fever Ray
good kid m.a.a.d city
Lonerism
Kill For Love
Cosmogramma
Until the Quiet Comes (well, I wouldn't bet on it normally but it was their #1 for 2012 so...)
Sunbather
Bon Iver
Strange Mercy
High Violet
Logos

I don't expect the XX, so I'd say the other 3 are either 2013 or late 2008 (Nouns ? )!

Dear Science? Random Access Memories?

Maybe even Shields or Teen Dream or Channel Orange or This Is Happening.

Amazing list by the way.

just to say - really proud of what we did to see the site out. I did the Kanye write-up (it became an essay, really), plus another 30 or so stretched across the LP/EP/track lists. loads of writing about loads of great music.

I think it's a really strong collection. reads great typed out, cheers for putting the effort in!

23. My Bloody Valentine - m b v
27. The Knife - Shaking the Habitual
39. Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City
42. Disclosure - Settle

I'm sure the NME Top 500 will contain a few albums from this year as well.

aye to explain, had we taken the average of those who had realised it was eligible as opposed to the points method used, Microcastle would have been #2 behind Kanye. we felt the need to explain haha, it's a fantastic record after all
