Hi Henrik. I don't think you have these in here yet and they should probably count. Since May 2010 German critic (links, tip, Rolling Stone) and radio moderator (Radio Eins) Wolfgang Doebeling publishes a list of forgotten and underestimated masterpieces (vergessene und verkannte Meisterwerke) once or twice a year in the German edition of the Rolling Stone. Yes, I think this list could be included, but perhaps I will not add ongoing lists in the coming update.

Doebling also host a radio programme "Roots" with many best of year lists, which could probably also be included. At least if/when the list of year becomes complete.

Some of these albums actually have enjoyed decent levels of acclaim (see Exile in Guyville), so how is that understimated/forgotten? :) (It wasn't a huge commercial success, though.)

JR, I've been wondering that, too. A few others such as "Lady in Satin" or "In the Wee Small Hours" also seem quite weird in that regard. I assume he wanted to have albums from diverse eras and genres and just wasn't as well-versed in some areas, thus having to rely on a few classics here and there. His focal point seems to be blues/folk/country/roots rock type stuff.
