As ever, I defer to the website:
Unlike Jan's list, this would appear to be in alphabetical order (and I believe some were on his list as well).Under this title, HP/De Tijd of 22 June 2001 published a response to the Jan Donkers-compiled list (Fifty years, one hundred hits) [aka the last list I posted] with the best rock records of the last 50 years. Freya Zandstra (incorrectly) names 100 albums from the last 25 years that Jan [in her opinion] overlooked. "Not everything is made for eternity. In that sense, Jan Donkers had rock's top 100 right. A nice choice, but - sorry, Jan - a choice for the past."

Both of these lists could do without so many compilations, especially from a couple of artists whose albums are just as good as any best-of compilation (I mean, really? Your representative of The Cure is a compilation? A very good compilation, yes, but couldn't you pick an actual album like Disintegration or The Head on the Door?). It also has a bunch of albums from 1969-1975, which is definitely earlier than 25 years prior if the original list and the response were both made in 2001. A for effort, I suppose, since these are at least good albums by and large (and yeah, it IS nice to see more from after the '70s or early '80s).
