Uhhh, the weirdest list so far but I... agree for the most part with some of there. I really did enjoy that Poppy album quite a bit, I liked the MM one as well, heck even the Horizon album was good. I dont agree with the actual rankings but hey its still cool

For most part it makes sense since it is a heavy metal magazine and most of these albums clearly belong to that group. What makes it look weird is that somehow a handful of electronic and hiphop albums sneaked in. Not sure if that is what their readers are in for, but hey it is their list.

Ah i didnt know it was more of a metal magazine lol. I was just glad to see Poppy there lol. But yeah are the genre specific magazines weighted differently from lists from say Pitchfork?Rob wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 8:47 amFor most part it makes sense since it is a heavy metal magazine and most of these albums clearly belong to that group. this is not a genre specific list actually,e.g. ''best post-punk albums of 1980s'' though they favored a specific genre of their taste in an end of year list ,end of year list weight less than all of time lists thought i am not completely sure

Re: EOY 2020 - Revolver Magazine (US)
The magazine itself is genre specific though, focusing on hard and in particular metal. Just read their intro to this list. That's what makes it so strange that an almost genre specific metal list has a couple non-metal albums sprinkled in.

yeah i agree with you,if you read carefully i said ''though they favored a specific genre of their taste in an end of year list''
