We haven't included the R&B lists in the pasts, presumably because Hip Hop is obviously the site's "main" genre, so I'll hold off on them for now unless there's a good argument in their favor.

Why not? That doesn't make much sense to exclude a genre.
Also if you are counting their hip-hop lists then the other lists should count. If they do reviews and have multiple reviewers then it should count.

I was just making an assumption. I didn't even know they had R&B lists as well until this year, so it's possible their previous R&B lists were simply overlooked. Mostly they just weren't posted here at all, but at one point it was and did not get added, so I assumed it was a deliberate decision not to include them, but that may not be true. I'll probably include it eventually (and post all the old R&B lists) but I just wanted to be certain it wasn't being deliberately excluded before.

EDIT: Also, the R&B lists are credited to only a single writer, though the intros are worded as if they were a committee decision. So there was some uncertainty on that end as well.

I hope it's included but if it doesn't meet the criteria then oh well.

Well, the first thing that needs to happen is for someone to transcribe them. I'd greatly appreciate that, thank you.

I had the impression any claim to ineligibility stemmed from a perception that it was a genre-list (i.e. R&B) from a source of another genre (a rap site). That said, it's not a great leap from hip-hop to R&B and the annual awards listed on the site encompass "The Best Of Rap, Hip Hop and R&B" in their words, so they could be said to be a genre source for R&B.
All I got inside is vacancy!

I'm going to add the R&B song list to the spreadsheet. I'll also make a thread for all the past R&B lists, so I'd appreciate if someone could transcribe those as well. Thanks!
